Clinical Study of Oriental Medicine Treatment for Polycystic Ovarian Disease


Abstract
In oriental medicine Polycystic ovarian disease has been recognized under the category of amenorrhea, irregular menstruation, infertility, acnes, obesity etc. for a long time. As the use of Sonography increased in oriental medicine these days, the diagnosis of this disease was easier and more comfortable.
So I treatead thirty women by method of oriental medicine(herb-med, acupuncture, moxibustion etc.), diagnosed as this disease in sonographic and endocriminal test. And the results were following.
1. 85.7% of the patients complaining of the pain and enlargement of the breast was improved in this symptoms.
2. 80% of the patients complaining of acnes and the oily skin was improved in this symptoms.
3. 70% of the patients complaining of second amenorrhea was improved in this symptom.
4. 45.5% of the patients complaining of oligomenorrhea was improved in this symptom. 5. 42.9% of the patients complaining of menstrual irregularity was improved in this symptom.
6. 50% of the patients complaining of dysmenorrhea was improved in this symptom.
7. The nature pregnancy rate was 13.8%.
